Our Story

Diversily was founded by Marissa Ellis, a best-selling author, speaker, and strategic advisor, in 2018. We are fuelled by a deep passion to drive more inclusive innovation and equip change-makers worldwide with the resources and support they need to create a better, more inclusive future.

Our work has touched thousands of people, and we continue to strive to play our small part in raising the ‘inclusive intelligence’ of the world.

Our name “Diversily” represents our vision of a more conscious, enlightened way of working, thinking, and acting, with diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging deeply ingrained. It’s akin to being eco-friendly—where once environmental concerns were an afterthought, they are now woven into every aspect of our lives. Similarly, Diversily aims to shift mindsets, recognising that diversity alone is not enough without inclusion.

True success lies in creating a culture where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to show up authentically. This fosters an environment where individuals can thrive, and businesses can harness the transformative power of diverse perspectives, inspiring innovation, equitable solutions, creativity, and financial performance.

At Diversily, our philosophy centres around creating impactful free resources for as many people as possible to drive change. We believe that knowledge and tools should be accessible to all, regardless of background or resources.

Our first flagship tool, created in 2018, The Change Canvas, is a powerful and flexible visual tool that unites individuals and empowers them to catalyse meaningful change. It combines reflection, vision, and action, into an iterative and results-focused visual framework. It boosts productivity and alignment and accelerates progress. We are known for our visual frameworks, and now have a library of canvases, all centred on driving inclusive change.

As part of our commitment to fostering inclusive innovation, in 2023 we launched The Inclusive Innovation Playbook— an invaluable resource that was created through an incredible collaborative effort. The Inclusive Innovation Playbook serves as a guidebook, curated with insights, strategies, and practical steps to drive innovation while ensuring inclusivity at every stage. The playbook is a testament to our belief that diversity and inclusion are essential ingredients for successful and impactful innovation.

These resources are freely available to all, empowering change-makers worldwide to make a tangible difference.

While our resources provide a strong foundation, we recognise that each client is unique and faces distinct challenges. We strive to foster a collaborative partnership with our clients. We offer a number of off the shelf workshops, such as Inclusive Leadership and The Inclusion Ideathon, as well as tailored solutions.

We help leaders to be more inclusive and we help diversity and inclusion advocates to become better leaders.
